About the Program
MMB invites creative artists from any discipline, ages 12–18, to apply for the 2027 Creative Residency Program.
Students from all countries are welcome to apply and are considered on an equal basis. Admission is based strictly on talent demonstrated through the submitted application materials.
Applicants must be available to attend the entire duration of the program, July 12 – August 6, 2027.

Please carefully review the eligibility and application requirements before submitting your application.
All applicants must submit a complete online application through Acceptd by the deadline. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
Eligibility
To be eligible for Morningside Music Bridge 2027, applicants must:
- Be between 12 and 18 years of age as of the first day of the program (July 12, 2027).
- Be available to attend the entire duration of the program, July 12 – August 6, 2027.
Creative Residency Program
Calling Young Creators!
Are you an emerging composer, improviser, visual artist, filmmaker, writer, or multidisciplinary creator?
MMB invites young artists ages 12–18 to propose an original creative project to be developed and shared during the 2027 summer program.
Projects might include workshopping and performing a new composition, creating a documentary film, developing a visual or multidisciplinary artwork, or exploring an entirely new creative idea.
Whatever your discipline, your project should connect with MMB's values, goals, and musical community.
Successful applicants will receive travel, room and board, creative support, and assistance in developing and presenting their projects. MMB will work with selected creators to identify appropriate mentorship and resources as needed.
Creative Project Requirements
Applicants must submit the following:

Written project description: An outline of the proposed creative project, including why the applicant wishes to bring it to MMB and what they hope to achieve.

Supporting materials: Materials that best demonstrate the proposed project and allow the review panel to assess its creative potential.

Samples of previous work: Two or three representative examples of past creative work.
Projects may take a variety of forms, but should demonstrate originality, creativity, and a meaningful connection to the MMB community.
Submission Guidelines
- Supporting materials may include recordings, videos, photographs, artwork, written documents, or other materials relevant to the proposed project.
- YouTube links and/or video files may be submitted where supported by the application.
- Good audio and video quality are important, but professional production is not required.
- Clearly label submitted materials so that the review panel can identify the content.
Materials that do not meet the application requirements may not be considered.
Additional Application Materials
A completed application includes:
- Application fee: $70 USD (non-refundable), payable as the final step in Acceptd.
- Applicants may save their applications and return to complete them before submission.
