Performance Program
Morningside Music Bridge brings together exceptional young musicians ages 12–18 from around the world for an intensive, four-week summer program focused on artistic growth, performance, and collaboration with internationally renowned faculty.
All accepted participants receive a full scholarship, with admission based solely on musical talent.
What to Expect
Participants benefit from:
- Private Lessons & Masterclasses – Individual instruction and masterclasses with distinguished international faculty and performing artists.
- Performance Opportunities – Participants can expect to perform in 4–8 concerts throughout the program, including 2–3 solo performances, a chamber music performance, and either the String Orchestra Concert (for string players) or Piano Four-Hands Concert (for pianists). Additional opportunities may include community outreach performances and the festival's concluding Highlights Concert.
- Chamber Music – Coachings and performance with colleagues from around the world.
- String Orchestra – Opportunities for string players to explore traditional repertoire, contemporary works, and new commissions.
- Professional Networking – Build valuable connections within the international music community through the experience of living, learning, and performing alongside artists from around the world.
- Distinguished Alumni – Learn from accomplished MMB alumni who return as performers and teachers, inspiring participants and offering a glimpse of what their own musical futures could hold.
- Resident Artists Concerts – Experience inspiring performances by world-class artists throughout the program.
Eligibility & Commitment
Applicants must be between 12 and 18 years of age on the first day of the program and be available for the full duration, July 12 – August 6, 2027.
As places are highly competitive, accepted participants are expected to commit fully to the program. Should you withdraw from the program at any time after April 1 (particularly to attend a music competition) you will be required to refund any travel expenses incurred by MMB that are non-refundable.
Life at Morningside Music Bridge
Participants are encouraged to reside on-campus - see section regarding accommodation. Recreational day trips will include experiencing Boston's rich history and sights.
