Passport and Travel Documents
Participants are responsible for their own travel documents. Out of Country students who are accepted to participate in the Morningside Music Bridge program in Boston must hold a valid passport. The passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the date of the expected departure from the country. Students are responsible for passport and applying for travel visa (if required), and all associated costs. Morningside Music Bridge can assist with the visa information.
Immunization Requirements
Morningside Music Bridge strongly recommends that accepted participants consult their local travel medicine clinic or family physician for information at least 2 to 3 months in advance of travel in order to allow sufficient time for optimal schedules of immunization to be completed. The program will be following recommended policies and requirements in place for the New England Conservatory and international travel.
Participant Behavior
Participants who are accepted to participate in Morningside Music Bridge (MMB) in Boston, MA, USA are representatives of MMB and their home country for the duration of their time in the program.
All participants will be expected to behave professionally and with mutual respect, to observe and respect host school rules while attending Morningside Music Bridge, and to abide by the rules set forth by the Morningside Music Bridge Office and the on-site program staff. They also are expected to abide by the laws and customs that govern the host country where they will be studying.
Failure to uphold the program rules will result in consequences that could include immediate dismissal from the program at their parent’s expense.
The following is a partial list of behaviors that would be in violation of the program rules:
- Possession or use of alcohol and illegal drugs
- Physical, verbal, or emotional harassment of any kind
- Being out of the residence hall after final evening check-in or being in a room or on a floor designated for the opposite gender
- Smoking anywhere on campus
- Possession or the use of weapons of any kind
