Maimie De Silva
Maimie De Silva has over 35 years of program and event management experience with an international focus. Prior to joining the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, she worked for Mount Royal University as Program Administrator for the acclaimed international summer music program, Morningside Music Bridge. She is pleased to be able to continue to be part of such an amazing music program now administered by the Calgary Philharmonic's suite of outreach education festival programs through a partnership with the Morningside Music Bridge Foundation and the Calgary Philharmonic Society.
The balance of creative and administrative work along with the music, keeps her engaged and inspired. She is a strong leader who inspires confidence and trust in others and motivates project staff to perform at high levels to consistently meet program expectations.
Maimie calls Penticton, BC home. She is also a very active community leader who has served on a number of Boards and is currently on the Board for the South Okanagan Women in Need Society. She says it is important to give back to the community.
