Mateusz Makuch - violinist born in Zielona Góra, Poland. In 2021 he graduated with his doctoral degree from I.J. Paderewski Music Academy in Poznań (Poland). In 2017/2018 he has completed his master studies at Hochschule fur Music "Hanns Eisler" in Berlin under the supervision of Prof. Ning Feng (alumni of the MMB program).
In 2012 and 2013 he received a scholarship to participate in a musical program for promoting outstanding young artists - Morningside Music Bridge in Calgary (Canada), during which he was awarded the first prize on the Concerto Competition.
Mateusz is a winner of many national and international violin competitions e.g. in Canada, USA, France, Austria, Singapour, Sweden, Ukraine, Hungary, Greece, Italy. In 2008 and 2012 he has qualified to the finals of the Eurovision for Young Musicians in Poland.
Since 2018 he cooperates with the Karajan Academy of the Berliner Philharmoniker. Since 2021 he is a member of the "Penderecki Trio" created on the occasion of the first death anniversary of a renowned Polish composer Krzysztof Penderecki by his wife - Elżbieta Penderecki.
Mateusz received twice the scholarship from the Polish Ministry of Culture. He currently plays on the violin made by Jean Baptiste Vuillaume (1823).
